It's been a while since my last blog, but it has been a whirlwind couple of months for us. March 1st we did a soft opening for our new retail store at 315 E. 5th in Historic East Village. It's been an exciting, but overwhelming time for us. We're still working the kinks out and look forward to having a grand opening/ribbon cutting in April.
How did we get where we are? Gary and I always had a vision of a retail store that we could showcase our furniture and do in person consultation for furniture orders. Last year, we were in Boulder Colorado and visited a store called Boulder Furniture Arts on Pearl Street. Boulder Furniture Arts was similar to what we had envisioned for our store and helped us to drive our business plan. Fast forward one year and here we are with our own retail store. Our store has similarities, but many differences.
Cherry Clark specializes in custom order furniture, furniture repair, and furniture refurbishment. We have a line of lighting and do custom order lighting. We carry General Finishes paint and offer painting classes to learn how to use the products or to do projects (i.e. - mother/daughter classes, diva classes, one-on-one furniture painting classes). We also carry items from local artisans - candles, cards, jewelry, gifts, yard art, artwork, and so much more.
We hope you'll come visit Cherry Clark! Or check us out at www.cherryclarkfurniture.com
Sarah Clark along with her husband Gary have busy hands. They love to build beautiful crafted furniture. But, they also upcycle from palettes, insulators, cabinets, doors, and old furniture. It is so much fun to make the old into beautiful new pieces. Follow us on our journey.
