Repairing beautiful old pieces of furniture is one of my favorite things to do. Customers bring their family heirlooms in with the hope that we can restore them to their original condition. My head starts racing and I visualize all that needs to be done to bring it back to that original beauty. Sometimes it is easy as that!
But, sometimes we get a piece like this chair. It was going to be an easy pull out the old cane and put the new cane in. Right? Wrong! The old cane must have been superglued in because it took hours to chisel it out, so that we could put the new cane in. But, I believe you will agree that it was well worth it. This piece turned out absolutely beautiful and looks as good as new - for an old family heirloom.
Do you have a cherished piece that could use some love? Bring it in and we'll discuss the options.
